WINSTON SALEM– Kimberly Oates Caudle, 69, passed away April 6, 2024 at Forsyth Medical Center after a courageous battle with pneumonia and sepsis. Kim was born on October 1, 1954 in Guilford County. She was the daughter of James Graham Oates, Jr. and Nancy Hill Oates Ellison.
Kim was raised in Winston-Salem, graduated from North Forsyth Senior High School and then attended Mitchell Junior College in Statesville. She was a devoted and loyal mother, daughter, sister and friend. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother.
Kim was preceded in death by her father, James G. Oates, Jr.
She is survived by a son, James Caudle (Joelle) of Springfield, LA; two daughters, Sarah Caudle (Mitch) of Greensboro, and Laura Graham (Andrew) of Troutman; grandchildren, Aidan Caudle, Audrey Caudle, Zora Caudle and Jameson Graham; her mother, Nancy Ellison of Winston-Salem; a sister, Jami Oates Morgan (John) of Salisbury; and a brother, James C. Oates of Greensboro.
Per Kim’s request, there will be no formal service held. Memorials may be made to Project No Kill, PO Box 965, Kernersville, NC 27285 or Forsyth Humane Society, 4881 Country Club Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
