Ms. Kimberly “Kim” Dawn Eidson, 53, of Lexington, NC, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, August 16, 2026.
Kim was born on May 30, 1973, to the late Roy Wayne Eidson and Barbara “Bobbie” Jo Crouse Eidson in Forsyth County, NC.
Kim graduated from Parkland High School in 1991. Kim retired from a local financial institution in 2023 after 27 years of service to care for her mother.
Kim was a force of nature and never afraid to speak her mind. She had an incredible sense of humor, and no one ever had a conversation with her where she didn’t make them laugh. She was always willing to offer advice, whether it was asked for or not, and somehow that was part of her charm. She was generous with her time and knowledge. In her friendships, she was always there, lending an ear or giving you a laugh. She had a love of good food, good stories, good parties and just enjoying life. She loved purple, Christmas, cooking and baking (who can forget her lasagna, chocolate cake or banana pudding?) and of course, traveling. She was an absolute storyteller, with a lifetime of experience and travels all over the world. She will be deeply missed – not only as a coworker and friend, but as someone who made the people fortunate enough to know her feel that much more alive.
Those left to cherish her memory include her uncle, Charles Crouse; and her friends who became family, Cindy and Duncan Johnson, Angela, Michael and Addison Atwood, Christie, Philip and Brett Severino, Nicole Martin, Amber Martin and numerous others.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 2:00 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
