Kris Shelton

Mr. Kris Allan Shelton, 53, of Elon, passed away May 5, 2019. He was born September 27, 1965 in Forsyth County, to the late Joseph Ray and Nada Jolene Anderson Shelton. Mr. Shelton was of the Baptist Faith and was a proud of veteran of the US Marine Corp. He was retired from Coca-Cola with twenty-four years of loyal service. Mr. Shelton was a collector of many things, including trombones, guitars, amps, and bicycles. He was a musician while in the service and performed with local music groups in Greensboro. Mr. Shelton was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Preceding him in death are his parents. Surviving are his wife, Melody Shelton; two daughters: Karin Shelton of Kernersville and Beverly Shelton of Winston-Salem; a son, J. Devon Shelton of Burlington; two granddaughters: Quinn Addison and Hope Kristine; a sister, Alisa Adamson and husband Guy of Greenville, SC; and a brother, Andy Shelton and wife Renee of Winston-Salem.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted in his honor 4:00 PM Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, officiated by Rev. Francis Smith. The family will receive friends 2:45 PM – 3:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
