Laddie Don Lemar

Kernersville - Mr. Laddie Don Lemar, 83, died Friday, December 23, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center. Laddie was born on August 4, 1933 in Forsyth County to Odell and Hettie Roberson Lemar. Laddie was a Veteran of the US AirForce and a member of Sandy Ridge United Methodist Church. He retired from Amp, Inc. and loved to fish and hunt. In addition to his parents, Laddie was preceded in death by his grandson, Jason Lemar; and his granddaughter, Bridgett Broadstreet. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Marcie Shields Lemar; two sons, Gary Lemar and Tony Lemar (Brenda); a daughter, Jasmine Levy (Jeff); two granddaughters, Marsha and Mandy; one brother, Charles Lemar (Jan); one sister, Janice Mills (Darnell); several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, ""Buck"" Bartlett. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Sandy Ridge United Methodist Church with Pastor Donna Friddle, Pastor Drew Helman and Tim Shields officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 26, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
