Lance Edward Branham, Sr.

Mr. Lance Edward Branham, Sr., 88, of Winston-Salem passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013 at his home. He was born September 1, 1925 in Roane County, TN. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in both WWII and the Korean War. He attended Holy Bible Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Poole, a brother, Ronald Poole and a daughter Patricia Maines. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Bobbie Campbell Branham; a son, Eddie Branham (Kellie); a daughter, Kaye Prestwood (Ted); 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Deloris Harris (Jack), and Opal Wagoner: and a brother, Oran Branham (Sue). A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 11:30 AM at Parklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Charles McFrederick officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 AM Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4 A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, N.C. 27407.
