Mr. Larry Eugene Alexander, 75, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 at his home. He was born November 15, 1937 in Forsyth County to Caldwell Alexander and Frances Juanita Jones. Mr. Alexander an entrepreneur of many talents. He owned Shoe World in Washington, D.C., Shoe Tree in Winston-Salem, and Larry Alexander Building Company of N.C. He also made custom jewelry and sold furniture. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Peggy Ann Hartman Alexander; step-daughter, Sharon LeVone Flynt; brother, Ronnie Alexander. Surviving is his daughter, Pamela Alexander Decker; step-daughter, Cynthia Dalton and husband Tony all of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Nicole Decker, Maggie Decker; great-granddaughter, Adelita Martinez; four step-grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; special niece Lynne Polley; two sisters-in-law, Fran Baugus, Jenny Alexander; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Tim Gammons officiating. Entombment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 2:00PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Honey I'm coming home!
