Larry Eugene Asmus

WINSTON-SALEM-Mr. Larry Eugene Asmus, 72, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Asmus was born on January 1, 1941 in York, Nebraska to Paul Moritz Asmus and Lillie May Huegel Asmus. Larry graduated from Iowa State University and was the owner of Lar-Don Natural Gas Consultants. Preceding Mr. Asmus in death was his mother. He is survived by his wife, Donna Asmus of the home; a son, Michael Asmus (Jenny) of Middleton, Wisconsin; two daughters, Jeanette Hodges (Tim) of Charlotte, NC and Kirsten Asmus of Connecticut; step-children, Debra Craig of Clinton, Iowa, Sandra Keeling of Davenport, Iowa, Richard Holste of Clinton, Iowa, Cheryl Holste (Mary) of Portland, Oregon and Jan Keeling of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Natalie, John, Caitlyn, Sam, Jody, Jill, Jason, Adam, Kristen, Joe and Zac; 10 great-grandchildren; his father, Paul Asmus of Webster City, Iowa; and one brother, Everette Asmus (Sherri) of Iowa. In honoring the wishes of Mr. Asmus, the family will not hold any funeral services for Larry. Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel is assisting the family.
