Mr. Larry Elwood Foltz, 75, of Lexington, passed from his earthly home to enter his Heavenly home after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease, on Friday, September 21, 2018. He joins his loved ones: father, Elwood A. Foltz; mother, Lorraine Terrell Foltz; and brother, Monty Lew Foltz. Larry was a devoted and loving husband, and a wonderful and caring father and grandfather. He graduated from Griffith High School in 1962. Larry served honorably in the US Army from 1965-1967. He was an avid car enthusiast and was particularly fond of muscle cars. Larry also had a love for animals, adopting and caring for many pets throughout the years. He was a very giving and kind hearted person with a wonderful sense of humor, even through his illness. Larry is survived by his cherished wife of almost 38 years, Deborah King Foltz, his son, Anthony Foltz, and his granddaughter, Caitlin Foltz. A graveside service will be conducted in his honor 12 Noon Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Friedberg Moravian Church Graveyard, officiated by Rev. Dan Nelson. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday, September 24, 2018, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family wishes to thank family members, friends, and neighbors for their kindness and support. Also, to the Hospice staff and a special caregiver, Dorethea, for their loving care and support. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in his honor to either Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or Friedberg Moravian Church, 2178 Friedberg Church Road, Winston-Salem, 27127.
