Larry Wayne Goins

Mr. Larry Wayne Goins, 65, died on July 19, 2017, at Universal Healthcare of King. Larry was born on January 21, 1952, in Stokes County to James Dillard and Ersie Tilley Goins. He enjoyed his family, and adored his grandchildren. He was an avid sportsman, hunter, gardener, and fisherman. He especially enjoyed carp fishing, and jokingly testified if he's not fishing, he's not breathing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas Goins, Barry Goins, Teddy Goins, and James Woods. Surviving are his loving wife, Jeanette Goins; two sons, Shane Goins (Holly), and Darrell Goins (Myra Wright); three daughters, Nikki Goins, Jennifer Warren, and Heather Kiger (Jayson); one brother, Elmer Woods (Patricia); four sisters, Hilda Lawson (Pete), Bronna Holt, Linda Goins, and Donna Goins; thirteen grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Kevin Kilbreth officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
