Larry Junior Layell

Mr. Larry Junior Layell, 69, of Lewisville passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born January 27, 1948 in Elkin to Raymond Junior and Josephine Miller Layell. Mr. Layell attended Grapevine Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife, Judith ""Judy"" Franklin Layell of the home; his mother of State Road; one brother, Donnie Layell of State Road; two sisters, Patricia Shinault and husband, Ray of Elkin and Carolyn Boone of Wilkesboro; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Grapevine Baptist Church with Pastor Ronnie Comer, Asst. Pastor Matthew Comer and Mr. Tommy Nixon officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Lewisville.
