Larry Neal Patterson

Mr. Larry Neal Patterson, 78, died on Monday, November 7, 2016, at High Point Regional Medical Center. Larry was born on December 20, 1937, in High Point where he lived all of his life. He was a graduate of Wallburg School- class of 1955; and a member of Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from Alderman's Studios after 40 years of service in the sets and prop's department. Before his health deteriorated, he and Faye loved to camp at Cape Hatteras, and would spend the month of August camping and enjoying his favorite pastime, fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Margaret Faye Collett Patterson; one son, Christopher William Patterson (partner Justin McClamrock); one sister, Vicki Hilton (husband Eddie); two brothers, Vance Patterson, and Don Patterson (wife Pat). He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Dorothy (Dot) Patterson; one son, Neal Alexander Patterson; and two brothers, Michael Patterson, and Devon Patterson. The family extends their sincere thanks to the EMT's of Wallburg Fire Department, Davidson County Rescue Squad, and the staff at High Point Regional Medical Center's Emergency Room and ICU for the diligent care and merciful, kind treatment of Larry and their family. The family will receive friends from 3:00-5:00 pm on Sunday, November 13, 2016, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 7000, Albert Lea, MN 56007.
