Laura Musten

WINSTON SALEM - Laura "Butch" Idol Musten, 95, went Home Sunday, May 13, 2018. Laura was born on May 16, 1922 in Guilford County to Burley and Louise Idol. She was the 5th of 11 children. Laura retired after 30 years of service with Western Electric/ AT & T. Following her retirement, she became a full-time devoted grandmother! Laura will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Musten; her son, Kent Thomas Musten; and eight of her siblings. Surviving are two daughters, Kathryn L. Musten, and Mona Fishel (Aubrey); three grandchildren, Michael Todd Griffin (Kami), Amy Marie Simmons (Danny), and Laura Joan Musten; five great grandchildren, Kayla Lynn Simmons, April Marie Simmons, Makella Koller, Garon Baggett, and Gavin Baggett; one brother, Garnet "Boots" Idol; one sister, Corena Idol Lako; many loving nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Mary Stacey and Lynda Moss. Laura was lovingly laid to rest Tuesday afternoon.
