Laura Lee Pegram Williams

Walnut Cove- Mrs. Laura Lee Pegram Williams, 86, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Kernersville Medical Center. She was born on September 22, 1939, in Guilford County, the daughter of John Pegram and Irene Vernon. A member of Union Grove Baptist Church, she was also the co-owner of Curly’s Harley-Davidson. Laura, a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, riding motorcycles and traveling. She was devoted first to God, then to her husband, and her family whom she loved greatly.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Claude “Curly” Allen Williams and three brothers, Bobby, James and Jerry Pegram.

Survivors include two daughters, Laura Jane Williams and Mary Kay Sechrest (Frank) both of Walnut Cove; a granddaughter, Tracy Burris; two great grandchildren, Cheyenne and Savannah Crisp; a great great grandchild, Oaklynn Joyce James; two step grandchildren, Frank Allen Sechrest and Tina Hall; two sisters, Edith Newell and Ethlene Weens and two brothers, Johnnie and Raymond Pegram.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, February 14, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel with Rev. Steve Roberson officiating. Entombment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home, from 12:30-1:45 PM.
