LewisvilleMr. Lee Tilden Bailey, Sr., 84, passed away Friday, January 31, 2014 at his home. He was born January 27, 1930 in Forsyth County to the late Frank and Goldie Lambert Bailey. Mr. Bailey was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1954-1956 and was a member of Ebert St. Church of Christ. Mr. Bailey began his working career as an auto mechanic, and then ran the Lee T. Bailey Construction Company for many years. He also taught welding and carpentry at Forsyth Tech., was a city building inspector, and he enjoyed farming. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Jack Bailey and Max Bailey, son-in-law, Barry Sheets, and a grandson, Jeremy Lee Bailey. Surviving is his wife of 61 years, Joanna Yarbrough Bailey; children, Betsy Bailey Clore and husband, Frank, Lee ""Smokey"" Bailey, Jr. and wife Kathy, Patty Bailey Sheets, and Bonnie Ellen Bailey; grandchildren, Joanna Humphrey and husband, Craig, Jean Chan and husband, Francis, Jessica Hope Clore, Robert Lee Clore, Sarah Kerr and husband, Danny, Victoria ""Tory"" Bailey, and Daniel Bailey; great-grandchildren, Max and Alex Humphrey, Jacob, Joshua, and Francis Chan, and Bailey Kerr; brother, Frank Bailey, Jr. and wife, Eunilee; sister-in-law, Margaret Bailey; also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and a devoted family friend, Fred Holland. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel with Mr. Wayne Bailey officiating. There will not be a formal visitation or burial service.
