Leighton Blanchette

Mr. Leighton Andrew Blanchette, 60, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born December 9, 1958 in Forsyth County to Coretta Henson Blanchette and William Calvin Blanchette, who preceded him in death. Leighton was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he was as assistant Sunday School teacher for the hard of hearing and the deaf. He enjoyed building birdhouses, painting by numbers, going to the movies and doing yardwork. Surviving are his sister, Martha Alene Bovender. A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2019 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Westlawn Gardens of Memory.
