Leonard Avery Creson, 72, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center, surrounded by his loving wife and children.
Leonard was born on January 25, 1954, in Forsyth County to the late Irvin and Betty Ann Creson. He dedicated 40 years of faithful service as a shipping supervisor with Hanes Dye and Finishing Company before retiring.
Leonard was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He cherished time spent with his wife, children, and three grandchildren, who were truly the light of his life. Known for his kind heart and warm spirit, Leonard was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa Creson of Winston-Salem; his children, Wesley Creson (Cindy) and Tracy Hill (Barry); and his three grandchildren, Noah, Emmilyn, and Luke. Also survived by his brother Gregory (Tenia) of Rural Hall.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall, officiated by Minister Glen VanMeter. Burial will follow at Crestview Cemetery in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Leonard’s legacy of love, strength, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
