Leslie Dyer

Leslie “Scott” Dyer, 40, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in Norfolk, VA. He was born in Wilkes Co. on September 3, 1980. Scott was a graduate of North Forsyth High School and was working in Norfolk as a landscaper. He loved to fish and walk on the beach. Scott was preceded in death by a brother, Wesley Dyer; his maternal grandfather, Clifford Huffman; and his step-father, John Pardon, Jr.; and his paternal grandparents, Carl and Mary Dyer. He is survived by his mother, Jean Pardon; his father, Roger Dyer; a sister, Karen Blackwell (Ivan); three nieces, Eloise, Lucia and Gracie; a nephew, David; and his maternal grandmother, Ettie Rae Huffman. A memorial service celebrating Scott’s life will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, May 15 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
