Walkertown – Miss Leslie Sue Gordon, 57, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born in Forsyth County on January 23, 1967, to William and Patricia Gordon. Leslie was a graduate of High Point University. For work, Leslie was a Marketing Lead for McGriff. She was a lifelong member of Morris Chapel United Methodist Church where she previously helped with the children’s department. Leslie enjoyed doing puzzles. She also loved collecting Wake Forest memorabilia, stuffed animals, and Dicken’s Village pieces. Leslie enjoyed going to Wake Forest sporting events with her best friend, Liz. She and Liz would have dinner together every night. Leslie was a loving daughter, niece, cousin, and friend who will be so missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her parents, Bill and Pat Gordon; aunts and uncles, Wayne and Louise Biby, Jerry and Brenda Gordon, and David Gordon; cousins, Sharon Biby, Molly Powell (husband, Chip) and Emily V. Gordon (husband, Kumail); as well as her best friend, Liz Dull.
A funeral service for Leslie will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church at 2715 Darrow Road, Walkertown, NC 27051 with Samantha Wesley officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Morris Chapel United Methodist Church at PO Box 57, Walkertown, NC 27051 or to Trellis Supportive Care at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.
