Leslie "Lee" Tyrone Irby

Walkertown – Leslie “Lee” Tyrone Irby, 55, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born on December 8, 1970, in Danville, VA. Lee was an avid outdoorsman, who loved spending his time doing yard work, gardening, going to the beach, ocean fishing, and playing a round of golf. He had a strong laugh, great sense of humor, bright smile, and glistening in his eyes. Lee was an accomplished man, hard worker, and always willing to help others in need. He enjoyed playing billiards and darts. There were a lot of things Lee cherished in life, but there were none more than his family and the love of his life, Dari. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who will dearly be missed.

Those left to cherish Lee’s memory are his wife, Dari Downing Irby; five children, Corbin Irby, Clayton Irby, Austin Gunter, Ivan Irby, and Savanna Irby; three grandchildren, Ava Irby, Ivy Irby, and Cooper Irby; his mother, Peggy Rigney; three siblings, Darin Rigney, Preston Irby, and Robbin Eckart; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration gathering to honor Lee will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
