Lethia Greene Smith

Colfax - Lethia Greene Smith, 88, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017. Mrs. Smith was born in Cleveland County, North Carolina, on August 16, 1928 to Ralph L. and Ada Fowler Greene. She was a loving wife and mother. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Gene Smith, to whom she was married on July 4, 1953. Surviving are her daughters - Endia S. Warren (Bill) of Kernersville, NC; and Kimberly S. Watts (Tim) of Greensboro, NC; and one granddaughter - Misty Lea Rasche (Kevin Best) of Oakland, CA. A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Florence National Cemetery in Florence, South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Carolina Kidney Foundation, 4701 Hedgemore Drive, Suite 810, Charlotte, NC 28209, and Kate B.
