Mrs. Lexie Angell Shouse, 95 of Winston-Salem died Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Vienna Village. She was born August 17, 1918 in Yadkin County, the daughter of the late, Early and Martha Norman Angel. Mrs. Shouse was a member of Bethania Moravian Church where she was a member of the Women's Fellowship and enjoyed the quilting group. She was a graduate of East Bend School and was Cafeteria Manager at Northwest High School, Hill Jr. High School and Mount Tabor High School. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Eugene Shouse; her brother, Conrad Angel; her sister, Hattie Kirk, three nephews, Max Kirk, Don Angel and Tise Doub; and her great grandson, Justin Sharpe. Survivors include two daughters, Jo Anne Todd and husband, Bill of Winston-Salem and Jane Jackson and husband, Denis of Pfafftown; four grandchildren, Eric Jackson, Patrick Jackson and wife, Cherry, Mike Todd and wife, Sandy and Elizabeth Todd; several great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. The funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 3:00 PM at Bethania Moravian Church with Rev. Charles Fishel officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
