Lila Catherine Gorsuch Vestal

Mrs. Lila Catherine Gorsuch Vestal, 94, of Winston-Salem, NC, peacefully departed this life on April 15, 2024, at Piney Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation, surrounded by the love of her family. Mrs. Vestal was born on November 17, 1929, to the late Ralph and Catherine Gorsuch and was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Edward Vestal, Sr, son, Ralph E Vestal, Jr (Junebug), brother, James (Jim) Gorsuch and sister, Julie Torrey. She is leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that touched the hearts of all who knew her. Left to cherish the memory of our Nana are her beloved granddaughter, Catherine Vestal Coe, and husband James; and great-grandchildren, Annabelle Catherine, Elizabeth (Liz) Lila, and Christian James Coe, who brought immense joy and light to her life. Additionally, she is survived by special extended family members; Karen Coe, Amy and Darrick Goins, and Jackson Motsinger. Funeral services will be held to honor and celebrate her life on Saturday, April 20, 2024, 2:00pm, at Hayworth- Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Chaplain Ben Vogler of Cardinal Hospice officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials may be sent to Cardinal Hospice Care, 3884 Henderson Dr, Jacksonville, NC 28546, in honor of the compassionate care provided to Mrs. Vestal during her final days.
