Lillian Denny

Mrs. Lillian Mitchell Denny, 86, of Boonville, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018. She was born February 4, 1932 in Iredell County to Minnie Lee Templeton Mitchell and Troy A. Mitchell. Mrs. Denny was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Ervin Denny; a grandson, Zachary Daniel Granzyk and nine siblings. Surviving are her three daughters, Brenda D. Sloan (Cameron) of Hamptonville, Jean D. Pfaff (K.R.) of Statesville and Sherri D. Furr (Glen) of Boonville; 10 grandchildren, Stewart Sloan (Dana), Courtney Holshouser (John), Travis Pfaff (Angela), Jake Pfaff (Mary Ann), Joseph Pfaff (Rodrigo), Tessa Pfaff Amanda), Daniel Granzyk, Taylor Furr, Lewis Furr (Kara) and Hannah Furr; 15 great grandchildren, Kelsey Williams, Avery Pfaff, Cameron Sloan, Laura Sloan, Colt Holshouser, Luke Holshouser, Coen Holshouser, Charlie Pfaff, Wade Pfaff, Troy Pfaff, Beau Pfaff, Gatlin Granzyk, Analeigh Furr, Tatumn Furr and Hadley Furr. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Parklawn Memorial Park with Pastor Bruce Niemeyer officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice or to the Alzheimer's Association. (Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel)
