Edith Lillian Morgan Isley, 76, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014. She was born June 29, 1938 in Forsyth County to the late Howell Norman and Pauline Kennedy Morgan. Mrs. Isley was a member of Friedberg Moravian Church where she sang in the Senior Friends Chorus and was a member of the Discovery Class. She loved her family especially her grandchildren. Preceding her in death was a brother, James Phillip Morgan. Surviving is her husband of 55 years, Thomas Isley; daughter, Paula Lumley (Michael); son, Rick Isley (Tia); three grandchildren, James Michael Lumley, Talulah Belle Isley, and Stephanie Leonard; step-mother, Marie Morgan; three sisters, Frances Brooks (Jack), Jean Bryan (Bill), and Helen Doss (Steve); three brothers, Howard Morgan (Jo Ann), Jason Morgan, and Richard Morgan; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Friedberg Moravian Church with Rev. James C. Newsome, Jr. and Rev. Daniel K. Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at the church graveyard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church parlor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friedberg Moravian Church, 2178 Friedberg Church Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27127 or to Hospice and Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to send special thanks to the Horizons Unit at Mallard Ridge Assisted Living for the wonderful care they gave Mrs. Isley over the past few years.
