Lillian Inez Bailey Atkins Powell

Mrs. Lillian Inez Bailey Atkins Powell, 98, of Winston-Salem, passed away Friday, August 22, 2008 at Autumn Care of Mocksville. She was born in Davidson County on November 30, 1909 to the late Rupert Early and Mary Bell Motsinger Bailey. Mrs. Powell was a member of Glenn View Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, James Walter Atkins and Archie Powell; 2 brothers, Rupert Thomas Bailey and William Lawrence Bailey and 2 sisters, Lillian Florence Frye and Eunice Bailey Charles. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Johnny Gupton officiating. Burial will follow at Indian Grove Family Cemetery in Mt. Airy, NC.
