Mrs. Lillian Thomas Smith, 82, of Wallburg, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014 at High Point Regional Hospital. She was born March 13, 1932 in Forsyth County. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sallie Chappell Thomas Callahan (stepdad, Noble); four brothers, James, Paul, Ralph and Cecil Thomas and one sister, Bronnie Lee Thomas. Mrs. Smith was a member of Wallburg Baptist Church. She retired from Thomasville Furniture Industries after 28 years of service. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Smith Clark (Gerald) of Wallburg; two sons, Jesse S. Smith, Jr. of Thomasville and Carl W. Smith (Darlene) of Eden; three grandchildren, Mark Smith (Tina), Wayne Smith (Lan) and Brittany Bristow (Michael); five step grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a special brother-in-law, Ray Davis; a special niece, Debra Wyatt (Ray) as well as many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m Monday, December 15, 2014 at Wallburg Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Cantrell and Rev. Darrell Boles officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
