Lillie Mae Bailey Potts

Mrs. Lillie Mae Bailey Potts, 84 of Advance passed away Monday, January 2, 2012 at her home. She was born, the eldest of 13 children, on February 6, 1927 in Davie County to Clarence Clark and Cletta Waller Bailey. Mrs. Potts was a member of Advance United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cicero Virgil Potts. Surviving are a son, Tim V. Potts and wife Peggy of Advance; two grandchildren, T.J. Potts and wife Rhys and Tamie Sharpe and husband John and two great grandchildren, Lillie and Duncan Sharpe. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Advance United Methodist Church with Rev. Cheryl Skinner officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
