Lillie Scott

Lillie Bledsoe Scott went to be with the Lord on Oct. 29, 2017. She was born July 6, 1930 to the late Ransome and Onie Bledsoe in Surry County. She was the youngest of 6 and predeceased by her brothers and sister. She was also predeceased by her loving husband, James (Buddy)Scott of 58 years. Lillie is survived by her loving daughters and son-in-law, Sharon Scott and Debbie(Gary)Fitts. Also surviving are her children of her heart Jim and Vanessa Farina, Sarah (Jim-Bob) and "her baby" Perri Morgana Carver.
Lillie was greatly loved and will be missed by Hallie (Nathan) Collins, Austin Humphries, nieces, nephews, church family and friends. She worked at Hanes Hosiery before fulfilling her dream of owning her own beauty shop. Lillie loved serving the Lord and others by singing in the choir and cooking for friends and family. Her funeral will be at 2:00pm Wednesday, Nov.1, 2017, at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Pastor David Harman where she was a faithful member for 64 years. Interment will follow at New Home Church of Christ Cemetery in Dobson, NC. A visitation will be held on Tuesday Oct. 31, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel from 6-8pm. Lillie demonstrated strength, courage, faith and peace these past 4 months with pancreatic cancer. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." II Tim.4:7.
