Linda Darlene Scott Donley

Ms. Linda Darlene Scott Donley, 79, of Winston-Salem, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. She was born on December 31, 1944, one of 12 to the late Mr. Shirley Kinley Scott and Mrs. Rosazella Branch Scott in Forsyth County. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. Linda had a green thumb. She loved working out in the yard and gardening. For 32 years, Linda worked for Polar Plastics, formally of Winston-Salem as a machine operator. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her partner of 50 years, Johnny Payne, and 6 brothers and sisters. Surviving her are her two daughters, Patricia Cheek (Ronnie), and Sandra Puckett; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers and sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday May 8, 2024, at 1:00pm at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. There will be no formal visitation held.
