Linda Bray Harville

Linda Bray Harville, a beloved wife, mother, Gigi, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

Linda was born on September 15, 1952, in Danville, Virginia, to the late Oscar Thomas Bray and Lois Bray. After moving to Pfafftown, North Carolina, she devoted many years to being a homemaker and raising her family. As her children grew older, she began working at Hospice and Palliative Care Center, now known as Trellis Supportive Care, where she worked in the medical records department.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Thomas Bray and Lois Bray. Linda is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Michael Harville; her daughter, Anne Michelle Poindexter (Ray); her son, Stephen Harville (Kerri); and her three beloved grandchildren, Willow Poindexter, Liv Harville, and Cash Poindexter. She is also survived by her brother, Larry Bray; her mother-in-law, Nellie Harville; and many other cherished family members and dear friends.

Linda was a beloved wife and, above all, the world's best Gigi. She absolutely doted on her three grandchildren and her two grand dogs, who brought her endless joy. Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured every moment she spent with them.

Linda had a way of brightening any room she entered. She was often the life of the party, always ready with a smile, a laugh, and a hug. She was kind, compassionate, loving, and welcoming to everyone she met. No one could leave Linda without first receiving one of her hugs. Her love was genuine, her heart was generous, and the joy she brought to the lives of those around her will never be forgotten. Linda leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories and a family who will carry her love with them forever. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered as a wonderful wife, devoted mother, and the world's best Gigi.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, 3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. A committal service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 24, 2026, at Salisbury National Cemetery Annex, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144.
