Linda Gibbs Hemphill

Mrs. Linda Ellen Gibbs Hemphill, 72, of Mocksville passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. She was born February 24, 1944 in Durham County to Leonard and Mabel Joyner Gibbs. Her parents preceded her in death. Surviving is her husband, Wayne M. Hemphill; a son, Wayne M. Hemphill, Jr. and wife Carol and his daughter, Jessica Ponce and Husband Ramiro, all of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Tina Marie LaChance and husband Paul and their daughter, Tabitha Shaw and husband Chris, all of Kernersville; six great grandchildren and a brother, Charles Gibbs. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Bishop Oscar Joseph, OCCO and Rev. Randall Keeney officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Davie County, 291 Eaton Rd, Mocksville, NC 27028.
