Linda "Kay" Holt Murphy

Mrs. Linda “Kay” Holt Murphy, 75, passed away June 4, 2024. She was born April 22, 1949, in Forsyth County to the late William McKinley Holt and Hazel Culler Holt. Kay enjoyed camping with family, going on car rides to get out of dodge, and swinging on her front porch. She was a fan of crime shows, NASCAR, Wrestling, and loved a good meal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister Brenda “Fay” Tullock; and her brother, Danny Ray Holt. Kay is survived by her husband, Larry Murphy; her daughter, Julie Williamson (Jason); four grandchildren, Lainey Williamson, Logan Williamson, Deanna Pugh (Dwayne), and Brandon Gieger; a nephew, Stephen Holt (Julie); two nieces, Kim Holt and Sharon Gieger; and a special family friend, Ed Miller. A funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00PM Saturday, June 8, 2024, at First Baptist Church of Stanleyville with Rev. Dr. Virgil G. Dwyer, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow the service at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Friday, June 7, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel.
