Linda Mcdonall

Linda Cay McDonall died Friday, October 5, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Health.  She was born in Rock Hill, South Carolina on May 31, 1947 to William B. McDonall and Ruth G. McDonall.  Linda graduated from Gray High School in Winston-Salem, NC and attended Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, MI and the New School for Social Research in New York City, NY.  Linda loved gardening and gourmet cooking and looking after her cats over the years.  She was a “news junkie” and loved to talk politics and the state of the world.  She was a devoted caregiver to both her parents and enabled them to live comfortably in their home until their passing in 2012 and 2014, respectively.  Linda will be greatly missed by her cats, Jazzy and Squeaky.  She is survived by her sister Lisa McDonall and partner Ioannis Batsios, Jr. of Winston-Salem; an aunt, Rev. Marjorie M. McCarty of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; an uncle, Bertrand J. McDonall, Jr. of Chicago, Illinois and numerous cousins and friends.  There will be a Memorial Service and Inurnment on Saturday, October 13. 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Ardmore United Methodist Church Columbarium officiated by The Rev. Marjorie M. McCarty.   Many thanks from Lisa and Yanni to all of her caregivers and friends who stopped by the house providing help and encouragement throughout the years including Ashley, Betsy, Briana, Mary, Sarah, Tina, La Verne, Tom from Lincare and especially her friend and neighbor Bill Crouse.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
