Linda Kay Slater

Ms. Linda Kay Slater, 81, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2026, in Winston-Salem. She was born on October 19 ,1944, in Forsyth County to the late Chester Leroy French and Virginia Plemmons French. Linda was a beautiful person, a wonderful mother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Keith Slater. Linda is survived by one son, Michael Slater, one daughter, Valerie Shelton, three grandchildren, Crawford Austin Slater (Bailey), Sam Shelton (Claire), and Chaine’ Shelton (Rusty), and three great-grandchildren, Salem, Allie, and Valor. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Lewisville Baptist Church Cemetery with Chaplin Steve Watson officiating. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff of The Oaks and the staff of Liberty Health & Rehab, especially Heidi.
