Linda Wall Tate Stone

Mrs. Linda Wall Tate Stone, 83, of Kernersville, NC, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at the Hospice Home of High Point after a brief illness.

Linda was born on May 26, 1941, to the late John Frank Wall and Mary Elizabeth Barney in Forsyth County, NC.

She was a member of Hanes Baptist Church and a lifelong Christian.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Gray Stone and a sister, Edith Wall Hines.

Those left cherish her memory include her son, John Neil Tate; daughter-in-law, Lori Ferguson Tate; grandson, Ty Ferguson; granddaughter, Elizabeth Tate; sisters, Joann Thomas and Judy Koontz; and several nieces and nephews.

My mom always loved music, she never played an instrument, but was a major influence on me. It was my mom’s influence of music on me that lead me to my love of music, and eventually to my love of design and architecture.

A graveside service will be held for Linda on Monday, February 5, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Parklawn Memorial Park with Dr. Jack Hilliard officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Hospice Home of High Point, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
