Mrs. Linda Ann Speas Winn, 73, passed away Wednesday September 17, 2025, at her home surrounded by family and close friends. She was born June 30, 1952, in Forsyth County, NC, to the late Roger Wilson Speas and Willis Mae Sain Speas. Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a member of Poplar Springs Christian Church where she played the piano while her husband was the organist for many years. Linda loved baking and cooking for her family and friends, and she rarely missed any events for her grandkids. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Alan Winn. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Wright (Ricky); two grandsons, Harrison Wright and Hamilton Wright; brother, Kevin Speas (Cindy); nephew, Todd Speas (Rachel); niece, Kayla Hammaker (Josh); nephew, Austin Speas (Alison); eight great-nieces and nephews, Lillia Speas, Sadler Speas, Shepard Speas, Brady Hammaker, Wilson Hammaker, Clara Mae Hammaker, Weston Speas, and Paisley Speas.
A funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Poplar Springs Christian Church with Jerry Simpkins, Richard Wynne, and Chuck Bower officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller in Rural Hall, NC. Memorials may be made to Mr. and Mrs. Roger W. Speas Scholarship Fund at Milligan University, P.O. Box 750, Milligan, TN, 37682.
