Ms. Lisa Gaye Everidge, 65, of Kernersville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 5, 1961, in Forsyth County, Lisa was the daughter of the late Mr. Arnold Everidge and Mrs. Nancy Watts Everidge.
Ms. Everidge graduated from Parkland High School in 1980. Following graduation, she began her career at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where she served for 43 years. She started as a dietitian and later worked as a medical coder until her retirement. Lisa enjoyed cooking, canning, and caring for those she loved. She was the happiest when she could provide for her family.
Above all, Lisa’s faith in Jesus was the foundation of her life. Even during her darkest hours, her faith and trust in Him never wavered. She attended Cornerstone Baptist Church and cherished worshipping alongside her family and church friends.
Lisa will be remembered for her selfless spirit, thoughtful nature, and her genuine heart. Her kindness and love touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by a son, Benjamin Miller.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Chris Miller (Angela); three sisters, Teresa Miller, Tina Parker (Phillip), and Sandi Kelley; three grandchildren, Emma, Isaac, and Levi; a special friend and brother by heart, Frank Crater; and a host of extended family members.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery (910 Palmer Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27107) with Pastor Charlie Martin officiating. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel from 10:45am ~ 11:45am prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
