Lois Combs Gray

Mrs. Lois Combs Gray, 89, of Clemmons passed away on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on February 20, 1928 in Wilkes County to Alfonzo and Flossie Henderson Combs. Mrs. Gray was a longtime member of Christ Moravian Church where she was active in the Women's Fellowship and the Marx Carr Sunday School Class and served as a diener. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde C. Gray; three sisters, Reola Cheek, Treva Gregory, Argyle Brown; four brothers, Wayne Combs, General Combs, Gray Combs, and Guy Combs. Surviving are two sons, Joey Gray and wife Avis, Todd Gray and wife Trish; one grandson, Bradley Gray and wife Chelsey; four great grandchildren; one sister, Sina Fulp, one brother, Brodia Combs and wife Mary; many nieces, nephews, and friends. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at Christ Moravian Church with Rev. Dr. David Marcus, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Moravian Graveyard. The family will receive friends following the burial at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Christ Moravian Church Building Fund, 919 W. Academy St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for the loving care shown to Lois.
