Lois Jones

Mrs. Lois Sheets Jones, 92, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at her home.
Lois was born January 27, 1925 in Forsyth County to David Rufus Sheets, Sr. and Katherine Boyer Sheets. She worked for many years at Frank A. Stith and Norman Stockton department stores. In her free time, Lois enjoyed golfing, boating, and camping. She also enjoyed spending time working in her yard. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Terry J. Jones, and siblings, David Rufus Sheets, Jr., Katie Harpe, and Jimmy Sheets.
Lois is survived by her son, George W. Calcutt, Jr.; daughter, Deborah Callahan (Bill); grandchildren, Tonya Stratton (Scott), David Maxcy, Jr. (Tonia), Ami Newby (Jimmy), Jennifer Tucker (Shannon), and Billy Callahan (Ali); seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Edith Tesh and Ellen Hunter; sisters in law, Pat Anderson, Bonnie Turner, and Judy Howard; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory Mausoleum Chapel in Clemmons with Chaplain Misty McAden officiating.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Wanda Maxcy James. Without her help we would never have been able to honor her wishes to stay at home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
