Lola Plemmons Griffith

Mrs. Lola Plemmons Griffith, 94, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Universal Healthcare of King. She was born March 24, 1922 in Buncombe County to the late Mary Magalene Meadows Plemmons and Merritt R. Plemmons. Mrs. Griffith was a faithful member of Marshall Baptist Church, where she also sang in the choir. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Griffith was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Robert Griffith, and eleven siblings. She is survived by her son, Arnold Ray Griffith (Dot); step-son, Spencer Gray Griffith (Polly); four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Erma Ogburn. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 10, 2016, at Marshall Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor John Holmes officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Marshall Baptist Church, 5739 Old Rural Hall Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.
