Lola Combs Henderson

Mrs. Lola C. Henderson, 79, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Mrs. Henderson was the daughter of Hubert and Doshie Combs. Born in Jonesville, she lived most of her life in the Midway community of Davidson County. She is preceded in death by her husband, Boyce F. Henderson. Her companion since his death was her beloved cat ""Miss Kitty"". She loved working outdoors in her flowers and garden and watching the habits of the backyard birds, squirrels and bunnies gave her special enjoyment. She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Tomlinson (Robert), Debra McTheny, and Lynn Bear (Dave); three grandchildren, Paula Skeen, Randy McTheny (Missy) and Ryan McTheny; five great-grandchildren, Ashley, Samantha, Josh, Cori, and Cody. Also surviving are her sisters, Kathleen Winfrey, Anna Lee Carty, and a brother, Bill Combs. Visitation will be at 1:30pm, Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home Silas Creek Chapel, with a graveside funeral service following at 2:00pm at Parklawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Dave Bear officiating.
