Lora Bennett Eaton

New Bern- Lora Agnes Bennett Eaton, 97, formerly of Kernersville, passed away Monday, December 8, 2014. She was born August 4, 1917 in Stokes Co. to the late James and Etta Vaden Bennett.

Mrs. Eaton retired from Greensboro Hosiery Mill after many years of service and was a member of the Triune Holiness Church in Maysville.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George William Eaton; son, Bobby Ray Eaton; and five brothers and four sisters.

Surviving are her two sons, William Carvin Eaton and wife, Doris of Morehead City and George Wayne Eaton and wife, Sherry of Maysville; daughter-in-law, Nancy Eaton of Maysville; fourteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Almergene Davis and Ailene Huffman both of Greensboro.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Mt. Gur Cemetery with Rev. Junior Stevens officiating.
