Loraine Myers Peddycord

KERNERSVILLE - Olivia Loraine Peddycord, 84, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at her home. Loraine was born February 28, 1932 in Forsyth County to Lonnie and Hilda Jones Myers. She was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women. Loraine retired from Fleet Supply Company with over 30 years of service. She supported the Kernersville Exchange Club Women, contributing to her husband's (Jack) involvement in the Exchange Club, along with many other organizations that they shared interest in. Loraine was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother, supporting their many activities, with a special interest their education.

In addition to her parents, Loraine was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Thomas Peddycord Sr.; her son, David Peddycord; one brother, Raymond Myers; and one sister, Lois Wilson.

Surviving are her daughter, LuAnn Alford (Ed); her son, Jack Thomas Peddycord, Jr.; three grandchildren, Jason Smith, Tara Waite, Jack Thomas Peddycord, III; and four great grandchildren, Allie, Shane, Olivia, and Tyler.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Pisgah United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Harlow and Rev. Harold Shives officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel.
