Lorean Parham

Mrs. Lorean Wheeling Parham, 90, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 06, 2018 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born on July 11, 1927 in Forsyth County to Thomas Aaron Wheeling and Addie Laxton Wheeling. Mrs. Parham was a member of Grace Baptist Church and volunteered at Forsyth Medical Center for 38 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 50 years, James Lee Parham, Sr.; an infant daughter, brother, James Wheeling; sisters, Elsie Reeves, Polly Norwood, and her twin sister, Kathleen Hayes. Surviving are one son, James L. Parham, Jr. (Sonya) of Cambridge, MD; one daughter, Kim P. Young (Vince) of Winston-Salem; four grandchildren, Will Parham (Molly), Tyler Parham (Ashley), Joshua Young, and Julie Stone (Chris); four great grandchildren, Carter and Ella Stone, Drew and Grace Young; sister-in-law, Erleen Wheeling; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Jim Bush officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A committal service will be held 11:00 AM on Monday at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the neighbors on Perryco Lane for the love and support offered to Lorean. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, 3305 Peters Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC 27127 or to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
