Loretta Miller Lyalls, 88, went to be with her Lord on August 6, 2024, at Trellis Hospice Home with family by her side. Loretta was born in Ashe County to the late Walter Douglas Miller and Abigail Irene Miller. Loretta was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, Maw-Maw, and friend. Loretta was known for her mischievous sense of humor and her love for family and friends. She loved plants, gardening and all things purple. Loretta was a long-time member of Pfafftown Baptist Church and retired from Hanes Hosiery. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Lorraine. Mrs. Lyalls is survived by son, Dallas Lyalls (Teresa) of Troutman and daughter, Dorcas “Dee” Shamel (Mike) of Sherrills Ford, a granddaughter, Angela Rudisill (Lance) of Denver, great-grandchildren, Harlynn and Caden Rudisill, and sister, Vivian Miller Beane (C.W.) of Tobaccoville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2024. at Hayworth-Miller Chapel in Rural Hall with Rev. Eric Ayers officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem. The family will receive friends at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall from 1:30-2:30 prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or Pfafftown Baptist Church, 4336 Transou Road, Pfafftown, NC 27040.
