Lou Ann McKinney Harper

Mrs. Lou Ann McKinney Harper, 88, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Vienna Village Assisted Living. She was born on May 17, 1937, in Forsyth County, to the late Ralph Bryson McKinney and Mary Louise Saylor McKinney. Mrs. Harper was a homemaker while raising her two daughters. She then went to work at Sears part time as a sales associate. Mrs. Harper was a long-time member of Warners Chapel Church of Christ. She was an excellent seamstress, and she also enjoyed canning and cooking. Preceding her in death were her husband, Neal Harper; sister, Pat Millsaps; and a brother, Bob Willis. Surviving are her two daughters, Cindy Harper Tesh (Steve) and Dana Harper Hinson (Todd); five grandchildren, Sarah Tesh Davis (Ryan), Mary Tesh, Julia Tesh, Andrew Hinson (Becca), and Emily Hinson; three great-grandchildren, Luke Davis, Charlotte Davis, and Enoch Hinson; sister, Dona Patton; brother, Ralph McKinney (Marie); also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Warners Chapel Church of Christ with Mr. Todd Hinson, Mr. Steve Tesh, and Mr. Ryan Davis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family would like to send special thanks to the staff at Vienna Village Assisted Living for all the wonderful care that was given to Mrs. Harper and her husband, Neal.
