Louise Duggan Collier

Mrs. Louise Duggan Collier, 93, of Bermuda Run passed away Friday, August 1, 2008. She was born November 1, 1914 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Carl and Louise Shipley Duggan. Mrs. Collier retired as a docent for MESDA in Old Salem. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Salisbury prior to moving to Winston-Salem where she joined St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Mrs. Collier was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Collier and a sister, Elizabeth Temple. She is survived by a daughter, Katherine Gross and husband Jeff of Jacksonville; two grandchildren, Amy Elizabeth Marques and husband Mike of West Warwick, RI and David Gross of Wilmington; a great-granddaughter, Avery Katherine Marques; a niece and two nephews. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2008 in the living room of Bermuda Village with Rev. John Shields officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date in the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church Music Program, Winston-Salem Symphony or to MEDSA. Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel is serving the family.
