Louise Calhoun Heflin

Mrs. Louise Calhoun Heflin, 87, went to sleep in Jesus on May 10, 2017 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born March 5, 1930 in Stokes County to the late Claude and Daisy Calhoun. Louise was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She never met a stranger. She enjoyed being outdoors with her cats and working in her flower gardens. She devoted her life to taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and service to her church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 yrs. Everett ""Bill"" Heflin. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Hallford and husband Mike; her son, Larry Lawson and wife Robyn; her step-son, Terry Heflin and wife Bonnie; her step-daughter, Suzie Nixon and husband Jim. She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild. Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, May 15, 2017 at Kernersville 7th Day Adventist Church with burial following at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Center, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
