Mrs. Louise Chapel Isgett, 96, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born March 12, 1918 in Forsyth County to Mary Hartman Chapel and Walter Ward Chapel. Mrs. Isgett was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church for over 60 years and was the Preschool Director for 35 years. She was involved in the Primetimers Senior Group where she enjoyed bowling, traveling and reading. Mrs. Isgett was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a dear friend to many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Stonewall Isgett. Surviving are two daughters, Karen L. Isgett of Winston-Salem and Sandra I. McBride (William ""Toad"") of Mocksville; two grandchildren, Christi McBride of Mocksville and Geoffrey McBride of San Francisco; one great granddaughter, Morgan Ward; two sister-in-laws, Helen Chapel and Rachel Isgett, both of Winston-Salem and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Oaklawn Baptist Church with Pastor Todd Haley and Rev. Jim Saul officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
