Louise Rothrock

Mrs. Louise Byerly Rothrock, 95, loving wife of the late Robert C. Rothrock Sr., passed away on July 5, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Forsyth County on February 6, 1923, to Keely William Byerly and Grace Sink Byerly. Mrs. Rothrock was a lifelong member and attended until health prevented at Friedland Moravian Church. She was a faithful member and served on the communion committee, she was part of the Women's Fellowship and she worked in the church nursery for many years. Louise enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and fishing at Davis Island. She lived for her church, her family and her friends. Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a retired hair stylist and home maker. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Emory Frank Byerly and sister, Ruth Byerly Phelps. Surviving family includes a son, Robert C. Rothrock Jr. (Barbara) of Elkin; daughter, Joan Rothrock Wall (Dennis) of Hamptonville; grandchildren, Craig Rothrock (Ann) of Walnut Cove, Tim Rothrock of Elkin, Kendra Waugh (Brian) of Clemmons, and Laura Collins (Jamie) of Winston-Salem; great-grandchildren, Amanda Rothrock, Robert William Thompson, and Ashley Michelle Thompson; several nieces and nephews, and faithful neighbors Don and Evon Holder in Kernersville. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Friedland Moravian Church with the Right Reverend Carol Foltz officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the grave. The family will accept flowers or memorials can be made to Friedland Moravian Church, 2750 Friedland Church Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27107 or to a charity of one's choice in honor of Mrs. Rothrock.
